Director, Services Practice
Responsibilities:
James Secure Solutions is seeking a Director of Services Practice to support Internal Research and Development (IRAD), business development, resource planning, and strategic development at their headquarters in Alexandria, VA.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, the Director of our Services Practice partners closely with Customers, Site Business Leaders and other Service Practice Leaders. The Services Director is responsible for the leadership and technical direction of engineers and analyst providing services to James Secure Solutions customers. The Services Director will provide strategic technical direction in support of James Secure Solutions programs with concentration Information Security, IT Management, and Solutions Engineering. New business initiatives and strategic positioning for future growth of James Secure Solutions business includes proposal support to major programs.
Perform functional management responsibilities including: resource planning and allocation for staff, funds and facilities; performance development, career development and training; coaching; and mentoring.
Required Skills:
- Have 10+ years technical experience in IT or engineering.
- 4+ years of technical leadership or management experience.
- Excellent oral and written communications.
- Working knowledge of Federal Customers and the Federal acquisition process.
- Ability to multi-task and simultaneously engage with a multiple constituencies.
- Very good understanding of industry best practices and willingness to articulate and enforce them.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related field.
- Master's degree in a related field desired.
- Experience developing solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation.
- Ability to develop, document, and maintain processes, methods, and tools to structure and organize for success.
